18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne

Nigeria won 17 medals at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. The gold medallists were Adekunle Adesoji -men's 100m, Njideka Iyiazi -Shot put, Ishaku Rue -Power lifting and Merotohun/Toriola -Table Tennis. All were awarded with a cash award by the Ministry of Sports.
