 Nigerian Presidential Elections
Former governor of Katsina State , Umaru Musa Yar'Adua was sworn in as President Obasanjo's successor on 29 th May following elections in April. Jonathan Goodluck was sworn in as the Vice President.
Yar' Adua is the first sitting president to disclose his personal assets which are estimated at $5m.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has charged the immediate past governor of Enugu State , Dr Chimaraoke Nnamani, along side eight others for laundering 2.28 million dollars and stealing N5.36 billion.
