LITTLE Saints' Orphanage has rehabilitated over 1000 children since its inception in October 1993 and 80% of its children have been successfully placed in families nationwide. The orphanage cares for over 80 children from age 2 to 17 and provides education facilities for those of school age. It also has a baby care unit.
The orphanage has its own clinic but desperately needs medical equipment and doctors, sadly the children are shunned at state hospitals and the cost of private care is prohibitive. These are innocent children. When brought in from the streets many were found to be ill, or malnourished, while others showed signs of serious abuse. Sadly some have died, but the vast majority have survived and flourished as a result of loving care, commitment and stability.
