Museum of London Storms London Fashion Week

MUSEUM of London created a storm at London Fashion Week, with  Fashion Diversity , a showcase of new designers and models. In an exclusive catwalk show running in partnership with Mahogany Model Management and Untold, the capital's young designers unveiled their latest collections on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September.

A student brief set by the museum to inspire collections from the 60s and 70s was won by Brett Russell the youngest designer at the age 15 (Please see photo enclosed).

Abigail Ayoola took 2 nd place and Laura Haywood took 3 rd place but the judges Astrid Jacoby from the organisation Little hands designs who sponsored a £5 00.00 cash prize, and judges Patrick Lee Yow Associate Lecturer MA & BA Fashion - Central Saint Martins College & Naomi Mdudu Associate Editor & Digital Content Manager UK/Europe - Nolcha Metier had a hard decision on their hands.  

 Several Designers were honored with awards for their hard work, creativity and longevity within the competitive field of fashion. Honorary awards were given to:

  1. Yemi Osunkoya - Kosibah Creations
  2. Simon Parchment
  3. Doeola Sagoe Creative Director Matthew Mensah (Please see photos enclosed).

International Designer Ally Rehmtullah came all the way from Tanzania and stole the show.

Sylvia from Big Brother graced the catwalk for Giuseppe Tavano and Katasi Kironde.
