| Many times our perspective of the church we see, know and attend in the community is taken as one of the activities within our community. However, this notion begs ratification, as there is more to the presence of the church than meets our comprehension. Knowledge of this “Truth" will make the physical structures of the church look but a figment of our imagination, as it is but the shadow of what really is “Church”- What is “the church without walls?”
I have always wandered whether people perceive the “church” the way it ought to be understood. In my parish church, which is within my community, the gulf of difference is being bridged so that even the other two church denominations that use the same building feel more or less one. As we interrelate and esteem each other above ourselves in love.
The blindness of God’s love to our sins and faults through His acceptance of us, is all because of the finished work of Christ on the cross. Eph 2, 3-10.
Periodically through this column will be “born” the knowledge and understanding of “The Mind and Will of God within our Community.”
We will also experience in our reading, His unfailing love and our call to reciprocate the same love to our neighbours. Matthew 19….”Love your neighbour as yourself.”
The mission within our community is imperative, after all the church consists of members from the community and the community makes up the congregation. Where then is the difference?
