Oyinkan Johnson-Sherlock, ”OJ” to her family and friends, grew up with this slogan drummed into her. She attends Haberdashers’ Asks in Elstree where she passed her GCSe’s with flying colours, 9A*s and 1A and is now in the 6th Form at the same school.

OJ also represented Great Britain in high jump and hurdles in Finland in September last year.

Even during her busy exam schedule, Oyinkan remained on the teenage committee of her church and in the choir. “I can honestly say that my exams did not present a problem,” she said matter of factly. “ I never left anything to chance and made sure I was always on top of things and still had time to hang out with my friends” she went on.

OJ plans to go on to university and hopes to become a barrister when she graduates.
